SCHOOL AGE PROGRAM
SCHOOL AGE PROGRAM AGES 6 TO 12
School Age Daycare For Your Older Child
As a busy parent, you’re always making care arrangements for your children. It’s simple when they’re young. You can leave them with a trusted child care provider before you go to work and pick them up at the end of the day.
As your children age and attend elementary school, you still have daycare needs but they become more complicated. When your children aren’t in school, you need to know that they’re in a safe place. You want them to participate in exciting group experiences and you need reliable transportation to get them to and from their destinations. You also need options for those days when your children are out of school but you still have to work.
Our Philosophy

We believe in educating the whole child - intellectually, physically, emotionally and socially

We Encourage play and exploration using age and developmentally appropriate activities which naturally stimulate a child's creative & cognitive awareness.

Since each child is an individual, we take into consideration unique developmental levels when planning activities.
Reliable School Age Daycare Options
The TLC School Age Daycare program gives busy parents the care options and flexibility they need. We provide exciting and creative afterschool experiences for children ages 6 to 12. As with all of our care programs, we treat your children like family.
Our After School Daycare programs offer your older children a warm and welcoming place to do their homework and enjoy the day. It’s a perfect arrangement for children who need before and after school care. We also provide care for days when your child’s school has an off day.
Care Options That Meet Your Needs
Our school-age programs offer before and after school care for children enrolled in first through fifth grade. The Learning Center provides transportation to and from your child’s assigned public school.
In addition to before and after care, we also offer extended care for school-age children on all days that school is not in session (professional development days, snow days, delayed opening and early release days, vacation weeks, and summer months).
Homework time is scheduled daily and The Learning Center teachers will offer assistance to children whose parents have given parental consent. In the afternoon the children are also offered arts and crafts opportunities as well as time to play outdoors and participate in group games. Summer vacation weeks and full days off from school follow a structured activity schedule similar to our summer camp.
Our Open Door Policy
*The Learning Center has an open door policy. A parent is welcome to visit or call the center at any time. If required, a conference with a child’s teacher can be scheduled through the Director.
