At The Learning Center, we know that you want the best educational environment for your child and a safe day care center. We’ve responded with programs and learning experiences that set your child on the path to educational excellence. We also understand that you can’t feel comfortable about your child’s educational opportunities unless you know they are safe. That’s why we do everything we can to address your safety concerns as well.

At TLC, we’re proud to provide a safe day care center that meets your child’s need for education and security. We provide a layered security system with staff training and technology-based security features designed to keep your child safe. At each location, we watch over your child from the moment he or she arrives.

Secure Entry

We have a secure entrance with a keypad entry system. We allow only authorized people to enter our schools. To gain access they must input a security code

Security Cameras

At TLC, our staff is observant. We try to see everything that happens but we realize we can’t see everything all the time. To cover any visibility gaps, we have security cameras placed strategically inside and out.

During each day, our security cameras monitor areas where your child works and plays. They keep an eye on our playgrounds, shared spaces, and common areas.

Staff Background Checks

As a parent, it’s important for you to trust the people who care for your child each day. We understand your concerns so we do our part to make sure each staff member is both qualified and worthy of your trust. Before we bring a new teacher into your child’s educational environment, we conduct a thorough employee evaluation.

Our assessments include Connecticut-required criminal background checks, confirmation of credentials and background checks through the Department of Children and Families.

Medical Emergency Training

No one can predict when a medical emergency will occur. We do our best to be prepared just in case. We believe it’s important for our staff to have the skills and credentials to handle medical emergencies. All of our teachers have up-to-date first aid and CPR certification.

Our staff is also certified to administer medication for life-threatening emergencies, such as emergency asthma treatments and EPI pen for severe allergic reactions.

We Welcome Your Input

We understand your concerns and we welcome your questions, comments or input about safety. If you’d like to discuss our ongoing efforts to create and maintain a safe day care center, visit our contact page or please feel free to give us a call and schedule a visit.
