THE LEARNING CENTER
We Are Open and We Are Here for You!
Our programs were fortunate enough to remain open during these unprecedented times and our entire team is here, prepared, and excited to welcome new families! We will continue to follow the guidance of our state and local licensing agencies on all health and safety practices to mitigate the spread of illness. So, what are we doing?
- All employees are wearing face masks
- Maintaining group sizes of 10 or fewer per space
- Performing health screening of all children and staff, including temperature check, upon arrival
- Practicing enhanced cleaning and disinfecting procedures
- Teaching and modeling proper handwashing techniques
- Reinforcing and modeling proper healthy hygiene practices
- Requiring that anyone showing signs of illness stays home
- Limiting traffic through the programs, parents are asked to drop off/pick at the main entrance
We are confident that, with our enhanced health and safety practices, we can provide the safe and engaging experience that you are looking for!
The Learning Center Programs
We’ve spent years developing programs that meet childrens’ needs and parents’ expectations.
Our childcare providers understand what infants need to grow and thrive. We provide our youngest children with a caring, clean, and comfortable environment. We help infants develop movement, flexibility, and other important skills. When an infant is ready, we encourage floor play, tummy time, and crawling.
Our toddler program gives young children the structure they need to meet new physical and academic challenges. We encourage them to participate in independent activities. We promote socialization through group play and learning. We prepare them for advancement into our preschool class.
Our pre-school program helps children develop the skills they need to begin Kindergarten. We reinforce social skills, independence, creativity, and communication. We build on previously introduced academic abilities such as math, science, and reading.
Our Kindergarten programs give young students a chance to prepare for school in the morning and wind down in the afternoon. We provide arts and crafts, outside play, and classroom activities. We’re here for your Kindergartener during weather closings, teacher service days and other times when schools are closed but parents must work. If bus service isn’t available through your child’s school district, we provide transportation to and from our campus.
We provide extended day morning and afternoon activities for school-age children in first through fifth grade. Our program is available during weather closings, teacher service days and at other times when schools are closed but parents must work. TLC is the only major child care and early education center to provide local school transportation when it’s not available through a child’s local school.
At TLC Summer Camp, children enjoy arts and crafts activities, cookouts, field trips, pool visits, and fun activities all summer long. We also focus on writing skills, science, and other learning activities.

We Provide Quality Childcare For 6-Weeks – 12-Year-Olds in Four Facilities Throughout Windsor, South Windsor, and Manchester.
We believe in educating the whole child; intellectually, physically, emotionally and socially. We encourage play and exploration using age and developmentally appropriate activities which naturally stimulate a child’s creative and cognitive awareness. Since each child is an individual, we take into consideration unique developmental levels when planning activities.
